Fellowships

At Jazz Pharmaceuticals (Jazz), our purpose is to innovate to transform the lives of patients. We are committed to supporting equitable access to high-quality healthcare and advancing education that strengthens the capabilities of the medical community. Jazz provides fellowship grants to eligible academic and research institutions to support fellowship salaries and advanced training in our therapeutic areas of interest.

All fellowship funding will be provided in accordance with applicable local laws, regulations, industry codes, and internal Jazz policies.

Therapeutic Areas of Interest

Neuroscience

• Narcolepsy
• Idiopathic Hypersomnia
• Epilepsy

Oncology/Hematology

• Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
• Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma
• Glioma
• Small Cell Lung Cancer

Independence

Jazz has no involvement in the selection of fellows, the design of the training program, the determination of research activities undertaken by the fellow, or the selection of faculty. These decisions must remain entirely at the discretion of the teaching institution, association, society, or designated independent review committee.

Funding Requirements and Restrictions

• Institutional support only: Jazz cannot provide a fellowship grant to any specific individual identified prior to submission. All requests must originate from an eligible institution. 
• Appropriate use of funds: Fellowship grants support fellowship salaries and advanced training within our therapeutic areas of interest. Any indirect costs, overhead, or institutional administrative fees, etc. are not allowable under this funding mechanism.

Review Criteria and Timelines

To allow adequate time for review and ensure compliance with internal and external standards, please submit requests at least 60 days prior to the start of the proposed fellowship. Jazz reviews applications on a rolling basis to confirm alignment with our educational mission, therapeutic areas of interest, fair-market value, and applicable laws/codes. Jazz reviews program descriptions only to assess eligibility and compliance and does not evaluate or influence educational content.

How to Apply

• Fellowship grant requests must be submitted through the Jazz Pharmaceuticals Request Management System, which will guide applicants through required documentation. 
• All funding decisions are made solely at the discretion of Jazz and will be communicated via portal notification and/or email.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee support.
