Our patient-centric vision at Jazz is a world where all patients and their caregivers have the power to achieve outcomes that matter most to them. We are committed to understanding the challenges and opportunities which most impact people living with complex sleep conditions, like narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia.
We are proud to continuously generate novel, clinically relevant data from real-world and clinical trials, including our extensive Phase 4 programs, which build on existing evidence such as sleep architecture and the cardiovascular and cardiometabolic risks associated with sleep conditions. The design of these studies is informed by direct feedback from people living with narcolepsy or idiopathic hypersomnia and considers the holistic challenges those living with these conditions, their family members and caregivers may face daily.
These findings offer critical new data that shed a light on the lived experiences of individuals managing these challenging sleep conditions and can play a meaningful role in informing shared decision-making between healthcare professionals and people living with sleep conditions on their treatment options and management plans.
At Jazz, we are consistently reminded of how support and collaborations with the sleep community are central to our purpose. Support for organizations across the sleep community, including American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Sleep Research Society, and the Hypersomnia Foundation, are integral to making a difference in the realities of people living with sleep conditions. Supporting these organizations and professional societies helps provide opportunities for individuals to share their lived experiences and shed light on the profound impact of their condition.
Collaborations like these are key to not only understanding the experiences of people with sleep conditions but also to developing patient-centric innovations that help address their symptoms.
In my role as Sleep Franchise Head, I am more committed than ever to strengthening Jazz’s approach to patient-centricity and finding new ways to ensure the lived experiences of people with sleep conditions are at the heart of our work.
I look forward to the opportunity to connect with the sleep community and learn from leading experts while also contributing to the ongoing conversation about improving the outcomes of people with challenging sleep conditions. I am deeply inspired by the dedication and hard work of my colleagues, whose contributions are pivotal as we remain pioneers in sleep medicine and strive to make a lasting impact on patient care.
