Content
Denmark:
- Name of the collaboration project: Nordic Initiative called Eir Nordic
- Name of the parties who have entered into the agreement (pharmaceutical companies, patient organizations, etc., and any third parties): Jazz Pharmaceuticals Denmark ApS and Epilepsiforeningen together with four other patient associations from other Nordic countries
- Types of projects: Eir Nordic is a project that brings together people and organizations providing care and support for people living with epilepsy and intellectual disability.
- Purpose of the agreement: Improving knowledge levels, share stories of good care and elevate successful, local initiatives to regional best practice. Eir Nordic Day in October 2025 in Sweden will focus on those elements.
- Roles of the parties in the project: Jazz Pharma has the project and organizational lead. Epilepsiforeningen is the expert advisor and communicates about the initiative.
- Timeframe of the project: From December 2024 to the end of 2025.
- Size of the financial support given and what it is used for: Jazz Pharmaceuticals is funding the initiative. Budget is under 750.000 DKK. About half of the budget is allocated to consultancy work by external agencies for overall project management, administrative tasks as well as development and execution of the PR and communication plan. A substantial amount is attributed to Eir Nordic Day in Sweden, renting the venue, technical equipment, project management as well as food and beverages. A marginal part is allocated to advertising. Travelling cost for speakers and speakers’ fees are uncommon and not provided to speakers among the partners. All partners have contributed actively to the planning and organizing of the event to the extent possible for the partner’s organizational size and capabilities. All partners have contributed with their expertise and time. There is a joint understanding between all partners that the expected outcomes will serve both partner, public and healthcare interests. None of the partners receive any funding for their time invested.
- Scope and content of non-financial support: Epilepsiforeningen has access to Eir communication assets (e.g. logo, messages, print materials as budgeted above) at its discretion.
